There's a deficit of only 1 in my home square. Does that mean if I run there tomorrow I should own in? Obv depending who else runs in it! :-) G

A deficit of 1 means you are tied for the top score on that square. Presumably it's displaying cake atm?

Yes. :-)

Hope it's not the same square I'm looking at. I think I'm going to have to have some ownership to progress to round 2, because visitation is not going well so far this week ...

Rats. Forgot I was trying to get the corners. I could have done one today and one tomorrow. But I can't do both tomorrow. Would be a 7 mile run which is more than I can manage at lunch time. Hmm. But it's a multiweek game, so that will be next week's challenge. And I'll repeat some of the route(s) so chance of some ownership, possible?

As people are cut out, does the chance of owning a square go up, as there are fewer competitors? :-) G

having regained the lead yesterday, I'm trailing again today 54-49. I have a secret plan to re-regain tomorrow but will it be enough? I'll be off grid until Monday afternoon.

I will be strategically moving my grid back a bit so my runs from work count straight out of the door instead of from half a mile away. What a muppet!

G, next round you need to own squares or you will be out. I think you only need 3 or 4 though. JCB has the stats on the average to go through in each round.

I've got through the 64-player round OK without owning squares any on every occasion. It's the round after that, down to 32 players, where it gets tricky.

(Also wondering about a strategic midweek grid move.)
