Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Could there be an opt-in for multiplayer? And could there be a first round that includes all people who have opted in? Even if there are 200 in the first round the next cut could be 64 as per usual. Thoughts?

My other thought was that if there were multiple multiplayer games there could be one for those at the top of the table and others for those lower down so that you play against people of a similar standard, rather than being lucky enough to be picked for the game but never lasting more than one week it in.

I like your ideas JC. I'll seek out the feature request Elsie Too. As for lower ranked multiplayer, that needs some thought to avoid massive non-participation. If all opt-ins get into the first week, then the game could divide into two for the second week (top 64 go to a cup competition and those not making the cut go into a plate competition). You could even do it again after the two parallel second weeks so that from the third week on there are four parallel competitions. It's a bit like some rugby sevens tournaments...a cup, plate, bowl and vase competition).

Egnys - your would be good if there are multiple games but with only one game would just mean the top of the table play all the time while those of us at the bottom still don’t get a look in.

Unless the new scoring system that Fetch put in yesterday helps.

There could always be a þassive first round but still only top 64 get through.

I’ll be thrashed by glenners and out of the multiplayer - I can record runs and walks, but not getting enough wifi to upload :(
