'meeting for a cuppa' might be a euphemism...

But I would certainly go.

Messages have been exchanged.
When I am next well enough for a coffee, we will meet up.

I just signed up for Bumble and I honestly don't understand how it is supposed to work.
If you get a list of profiles, you can skim through then go back and look at the best ones.
But no, you see one profile and have to make an instant yes/no decision before seeing the next one.
I know it's a bit degrading to reduce everyone to a score, but at its simplest level, that's how dating works.
Obviously, like everyone else, I'm looking for a 10, so I swipe left on anyone less than an 8.
But then I get to the end of the list and realise I've been to picky and I'll have to make do with a 7, but it's too late, they've all gone.
The other option is to set myself a minimum standard and swipe right on anyone better than a 2. But then I might as well swipe right on everyone, which makes the whole thing pointless.

I can't imagine anyone who thinks this is a good way to meet people being the sort of person I'd want to meet.

They do come round again, especially if the other person picks you. Like all those apps, the more you engage, the more you get out of it, but take it with a pinch of salt and not too seriously.

I did meet my partner via Bumble and we’ve been together nearly 4y, but apps aren’t right for everyone and they can be quite disheartening

Bumble is a waste of time. Along with all the other apps.

I have come to the conclusion that the whole thing is broadly a waste of time.

I've found bumble pretty good. I'm not sure on the 1-10 scale, but you can get a feel for what people are like by their photos and descriptions

Given it's usually one message then ghost from the vast majority of bumble users, it's the same as all the other apps.

Never tried bumble. I am not a fan of online dating generally. It’s just not for me.

I’ve come to the realisation that I’m better off on my own. Got friends to go on adventures with and I’ve always been a bit of a people pleaser so decided to focus on myself.

I had a bad experience with online dating as that’s where I met my wife
