That's annoying, Goofee. I had that. It upset me greatly. Hope the team can sort it out.

I was rejected last time I went because of low iron. Usually, my blood sinks directly to the bottom of the test tube. This time, it kind of circled round, rose, and then finally slowly sank. I'm putting it down to the change in diet from being a meat eater to being a veggie, and not having quite got it right yet. Also 'planning' to visit the GP to check iron levels, etc., properly.

I was low after an ultra, but probably to be expected.
The last 2 times I've shown low, it's been dodgy readings with the pin prick and the sample taken from vein was fine. Did you get a second blood taken? G

They got the blood from my finger, dropped it into the test tube where it floated for a while then slowly sank so they squeezed more out onto some blotting paper, put it into their random number generator machine and it came up with a score of 122.

Just got rejected for low iron. It was 119, despite having taken three high-strength ferrous fumerate tablets over the last few days. And I no longer have periods. This, coupled with the physio muttering about inflammatory markers has got me quite stressed, and a bit upset.

Sorry to hear that Linds, I guess they have suggested seeing your GP?

No, not low enough for that. I'm seeing her anyhow on Fri so I'll mention it.

Bob!
I have an 18.25 tonight. I was rejected for low iron last time, I ran a Marathon on Sunday, and have been taking iron tablets since Friday.
3 rejections in a row and I'm barred.

Is that right? I didn't know that
I must be close to that now, there's rarely enough Hb in my test for me to donate. I've certainly failed more than 3 times, but not consecutively.

This is my 3rd fail but not consecutive.
