My dad has been anemic since September- possibility of internal bleeding due to cancer (😪) I was going to stop at 50 but I’ll carry on now

Little Nemo it used to be 6 months for some places! I’m pleased that it will only be 4 after my Rwanda trip.

I had several years of not being able to donate due to being diagnosed with haemochromatosis, the treatment for which is venesection, or in other words, basically the same process as donation except the blood was thrown away! So pleased I can properly donate again, it seemed such a waste.

However, I got to that number more quickly than usual because I used to be a platelet donor. The donation interval for platelets is only about two weeks (I used to try to go every six weeks or so) AND you get more than one credit per donation.
