Talking to my dad. He said What's that noise? So I explained it to him. Again.
Yep! That's why I switched it off on my mum's phone when I visited last week. Save me having to drive over today.

He seemed OK. I think it would have bothered him if we hadn't had been talking.

I switched it off, so nothing happened and don't remember what I was doing. Mind, no phone signal here, so nothing happens here anyway. I use my phone over wifi.

I was on Fetch. I completely forgot about it and it made me jump.

My phone was in another room, so if it made a noise I didn't hear it (although I almost always have Do Not Disturb enabled, doubly so since I was finishing off a homework project this afternoon). I've just picked it up to find the alert message displayed, so that's something I suppose.
I wonder if Do Not Disturb disables the noise?

No alert on our two personal phones. My work phone got it but it was upstairs and I didn't hear it.

Running past two young guys whose phones went off. "Is that that thing?" said one.

In a cafe with friends, ours all went off at 14.59, but not the sound (or volume) I expected.
