Of course it has nothing to do with me being able to watch my team, Bristol City, playing them next season 😉
um 18 May 7:02pm, 18 May 2024 8,464 posts	0 um ER - "When all was said and done the team nobody outside of Oxford fancied has won at Wembley and are back into the Championship." Even on the local TV news last night they spent more time stressing 'underdog' and the privilege of playing at Wembley. I don't think they dared to dream. Mind you, with Southampton next week, I'm not sure a return to the Premiership is in their best interests. They might be a lot better off rebuilding and winning most weeks rather than a season getting hammered every other game,

They might be a lot better off rebuilding and winning most weeks rather than a season getting hammered every other game,” I suspect the same could be said for any team in the playoffs. The gulf between the leagues is immense.

um 27 May 8:04am, 27 May 2024 8,506 posts	0 um Ditto snail. I was surprised at the 1-0 scoreline. I thought both teams would go all out and it would be about 5-4. Also glad they won, but not sure they've fully rebuilt or are good enough for many smiles next year.
