Eldest is up with the grandkids, missed them so much over lockdown. So many toys out round the house 🤗. Walked the dogs, done tea and it’s bath time 🤗

[One of my old schoolfriends lives Up There and was impressed that her children were encouraged and taught to speak Doric in school, in contrast to the attempts to humiliate the Lowland Scots out of us when she and I were at school in Kilmarnock. I have to roll my eyes about Gaelic being shoved in everyone's faces in the West of Scotland when we've got a distinct native tongue of our own.]

NF walk with lots of deer & a newt and a pint afterwards ...
And then, the lady on the next table in the pub garden had her food delivered. Some sort of salad, And what looked like a children's fish fingers, peas & chips. From which she stole a few chips, chopped it up, let it cool down, then put on the grass for her dog. Who seemed to expect it, and enjoy it.
No salt, vinegar or tomato sauce though !
