Same here. I tried a bar to cut down on plastic use but it just didn't make my hair feel clean.

[Recent convert to shampoo bar here. Tried one recommended for thinning hair and even my hairdresser has noticed a difference 😊]

[was going to post this the other day but forgot, and an article in the Guardian today has reminded me] Our local council (and others) putting up poppies on lampposts like they're Xmas decorations. While I would much rather mark 11 November than any religious festival - and I appreciate that it helps raise funds and keeps the occasion in peoples' minds - it just feels to me to be the first steps in the commercialisation and trivialisation of Remembrance Day. |

Have you passed through Chobham (Surrey)? They really do go to town with this, but I always got the feeling it's much more about their military links (surrounded by army bases!) than any commercial purpose. |

Haven't been to Chobham. I guess it makes sense for places with military connections to promote this more, but I do wonder whether some places/organisations are more concerned with virtue signalling than anything else.
