I don’t consider myself to be a muppet simply because I’m not in such a rush to get to the front. But anyway my point is directed to those who, as I’ve said, accelerate to get to the front and don’t space appropriately to merge. They are the muppets in my view. |

Agreed, I wasn’t directing that at you, I was thinking of those that want to block both lanes when there is half a mile or more to go until the closure. Apologies if it sounded as if it sounded like it was directed to you, which it did.

I totally agree with you on that form of lane blocking. No offence taken 👍 |

I have to deal with a notorious pinch point on my daily commute - two highways merge and go from for lanes to three then two, with the overtaking lane being the last to go. It regularly comes to a complete standstill because of people racing up the outside and slamming the brakes on when there isn't magically a perfect space in the crawling lane beside them for them to merge into. I usually stay in the outside lane until the merge point, and keep to about the same pace as the lane next to me, and that way everyone keeps moving and we can all speed up again once we've merged, but the number of assholes who get right up my chauffeur, flashing lights and making obscene gestures it's depressing. Sometimes I'll move over earlier, watch them speed to the merge point and stop dead, then deliberately hug the bumper of the car in front of me until I've passed them again. |

Went out on my bike there, going along the path, about a half a mile ahead I could see two women walking dogs coming towards me, getting closer and closer, still walking two abreast looking at me, I’m slowing & slowing, they’re still two abreast, I’m virtually stopped and about two metres away, when one tucked in behind the other. I’m like WTF.

The Fabreeze ad that says their air freshener has "thousands of uses". Not it doesn't, it has one use although you can spray it on any number of things.
