Eventually worked out it had softened so much it collapsed into the coffee, had to dig it out and eat it with a spoon.

Cleverly, it was in an old ice-cream tub marked Moussaka. Yesterday I was looking in the freezer looking for leftovers for tonight's tea. I found an old ice-cream tub marked Moussaka, opened it to check. It looked exactly like mince, so I got it out and left it to defrost. It is clearly my wife's fault because I never label anything I put in the freezer.
