Been shopping. Will not starve this week, though we might get scurvy.

It was properly dark this morning which made my cycle commute tricky in some places. I might need to choose a new route or get better lights. One of my pet hates though are cyclists with searchlights that blind oncoming cyclists.

Failed to assemble all the ingredients before starting to bake. Discovered too late that the recipe specified self raising rather than plain flour and the tubs of raising agents hadn't survived the last decluttering. But it's only a minor disaster because a flat crunchy Welsh cake is just a round Garibaldi biscuit.

Took a can of soup for lunch, but forgot to take my soup mug so nothing to heat it up in. Fortunately hadn't opened it so that's lunch for tomorrow (and soup mug is now in my bag)

Thought pakora batter was a little dry, so added a smidgen of extra water. It wasn't, so the pakoras are a bit soft inside.
However, I hadn't used all the batter, so added a smidgen of extra flour to the remainder. And hopefully the first lot will be improved on refrying.

Started dog walk with wooly hat but got a bit warm so took it off and stuffed it into rain jacket pocket. About 3 quarters of the way round the walk I realised it had fallen out somewhere so I had to retrace my steps. Did the reverse route at a jog (in my jeans!) and found the hat so really a very minor disaster.

tripped over the toddler's potty just after she had performed - but my daughter had already removed the business part of it.

My hairdresser has closed. The other reasonably price hairdresser in the village is filthy, and the other one is extortionate for the amount of hair that I have.
My cut used to cost £12, but the other decent hairdresser is £22!
(As posted in error on the parkrun Cafe thread! Maybe should have posted on the Senior Moments thread too!)
