Despite the torrential rain that we had yesterday our main water butt remained nearly empty. On investigation I found a very large slug had taken up residence in the feed pipe between the the down pipe and the butt creating a tight plug!

Butt plug?

I have never had any desire to use a butt plug, but I have even less desire to shove a slug up there! 😂

Dog stole the TV remote from next to me. I dived after him and now have carpet burns on my knees. (I did rescue the remote though)

A wardrobe that I was making slipped and my shin got attacked by the wood. I have a fantastic bruise and a minor(ish) scrape

Son2 is ok but the car we share is not. We really need a second car at the new house.

Me too, priorities and all that. Still a complete ball ache to sort and the timing is far from good with the move and our holiday coming up.

We made a small detour to buy, as we thought, cheap petrol from a supermarket. It turned out to be the most expensive non-motorway fuel we saw all day, and on returning to our route, there was a half-hour traffic jam.

IT issues starting my work laptop and getting access into the network today meant I was late into my first meeting and didn;t have time for my usual breakfast, then got into two more back to back meetings. Just got into my 4th meeting of the morning at 11:00 and just having breakfast.

I’ve run out of tea bags. I’ve opened a box of decaf Yorkshire tea that we got as a freebie recently but it’s not exactly a decent substitute

Am on the way back from work meeting. The lunch element went on too long and so we couldn’t have pudding. I had chosen pavlova. I was looking forward to it.
