lol at starfish! do you live by the sea?
sad about the bullfinch, I think they are very handsome.
my cat from childhood (Petra) used to catch slow worms. They're a bit like a snake but I've never seen one in Yorkshire (we lived in Hampshire). They used to drop the end of their tail when caught, it grows back. Think they are a legless lizard.

Ours has just added another bird to her portfolio.
The bird is a bit worse for wear but its in a safe place in the garden. Hopefully it will regain composure and fly off. The cat is desperately head butting the locked cat flap to get out there and get it.

Today - one bird, one mouse, different 'presents' we've had:
1 x Starfish (yes when lived in Fleixstowe) 100s of birds 100s of mice dozens of voles dozen rabbits (have saved them all!) 1 x squirrel

That did make me chuckle I've saved 7 in the last 14 years from Blue Cross, Still have 5 bundles of devastation that own me, the home and the surrounding area as their hunting grounds!

i bought the book "goodbye mog" today ...its the one were mog dies and her family get a new kitten- its a lovely book to read to your kids if you have sadly lost a cat...however i think i made it worse because i was crying my eyes out by page 3 and that set my boys off crying again about our poor Daisy
