I think you're right SarahW. I just don't want to face up to the fact that my baby is getting old Anyway, back on topic. The only time she brought something home was about 8 years ago. It was a baby bird She hadn't even managed to kill it properly but it was obvious from the injuries that it wouldn't survive. I made Mr H break its neck to put it out of it's misery. Squeaker (the cat) was very proud of herself that day. |

just read the catflap events on the previous page and made me remember getting trapped in the kitchen(faulty doorhandle) early one morning with my cat and an aggressive uninvited tom (yes he had sprayed everywhere) surrounded by broken glass because the scrap they had involved knocking lots of things over while I was wearing just my pants and a t shirt, trying to get the bloody cat back out the cat flap was not fun (keys to back door in part of house I was locked out from again due to faulty kitchen door handle) - I was scratched to (almost-)death by it while my cat was shouting his head off (in cat-speak I think it was the equivalent of "get rid of it, get rid of it, get rid of it!"). Then had to wait for an hour for my other half to get up, stroll downstairs and open the kitchen door to make a cup of tea. In the house before that my cat used to regularly bring a cat called Richard Brown home for tea |

SusiesueH - 10+ isn't too old, unless on the other side of 15yrs. Has anything changed recently in the house? Maybe try a Feliway plugin. Good for chillaxing your cat. Maybe introduce some catnip. Mulbs - I had the same kind of incident too, when the ginger tom got caught. I wanted to scare it by trapping it for a while, but I nearly came off worse & only just managed to get door open to let out without "wearing" the cat! |

Ssh the exact same thing happened to Ron twice. Both times he was a little bit injured though . It was heartbreaking to see him Lying on his own on the floor next to a bookcase! First time he had a fight and lost. Second time he had an abcess on his head but both times after a couple of weeks he was back to his old self. And another rabbit today! |
