Runningmum - I've got tears in my eyes now just thinking about that book! Mog is lovely, my boys used to love those books :-)

My Rosy had a bird in the garden the other day, which my son separated her from, but sadly it was too late for the poor bird. First bird she's had, it's usually mice, which I can cope with. My auntie's old tom cat, Timmy, regularly used to bring great big (dead) rats home and leave them on the mat as presents. He was a BIG moggie ...

Q Mac
The way I console myself after losing two of mine is that every day they are physically with us they are loved and cared for so much and when they leave us they make way for another young kitten to be saved. That's my philosophy and it comforts me. My two are in Cambridge Pet Cemetary, and it may sound strange, but every now and again I pop along with a flask and a sarnie and say Hi to Mols and Bunt Bunt and think they're in Kittie Kingdom having a fun time. Blimey, you really wouldn't believe what I did for a living after reading this!

It was so sad when my cat got run over, she was found by someone local who contacted me and sent her back.

I also remember crying when my hamster died. I was 24.
