a) How to unclog the Dyson.
b) That all those little bits of stick I've been gleefully hoovering up would lodge in the ribs of the hose inside the Dyson, creating a mesh on which the dog hairs would catch and create a lovely felt plug.

(I think it was the 1970s for a married woman to not need her husband's approval on a credit card or loan, and very distressingly it was the 1990s before a married woman was considered legally capable of turning down her husband's advances)
