Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What do you know today, that you did not yesterday?

...that the 2016 'Dad's Army' film used Flamborough in N Yorkshire for many of its outside locations. The E Riding Theatre, Beverley served as the church hall and the bank's offices.

In Windows:

Windows Key + Space key = Changes language/keyboard pairs.
Alt + Shift = Change Language.
Ctrl + Shift = Changes keyboard.

Also for the "What really grinds your gears" thread.

I learned Windows Space the other day after a frustrating string of login failures that turned out to be special characters on unexpected keys. There’s no cat in my office at work so it was probably self inflicted bad touch typing.

With a sound level of -20.6dB, Microsoft's anechoic chamber holds the Guinness Record for “World's Quietest Place.”

I would love to visit it.

Sam used to have his own one at work, but the company decided to rip it out to make more offices.

I went in once or twice. The bouncy floor was weird.
