"Collop" is an old Irish unit of measure for an area of land. It is the area of land that is needed to graze one cow and so the quality of the land determines the size in terms of more common units of area like acres.

Bizarrely, Reepham in Norfolk has three churches on the same site. Reepham's church of St. Mary, St. Michael's of Whitwell and All Saints of Hackford which burned down in 1543 and now only a fragment of the tower wall remains in the churchyard. For whatever reasons, the three churches were built where their parish boundaries met.
