Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've just been working away hard on a couple of spreadsheets.

WHW Race Results 2014 With Full Splits and I Minty 2015 Race Plan to be precise :-)

Knowing how badly my June prep has gone, I'm trying to ensure I start really, really slowly, and hoping that somehow I manage to keep going and even improve my placing late on. The inspirations in that regard from last year are such as Ada, Amanda H, Fiona Rennie (obviously), Bob Allison (further up the fied but still started like a tortoise and Matt Williamson, who was 9th to Balmaha but fastest split from KLL to FW.

All these people started very steadily and improved their positions. Mind you, they don't look like a pink Teletubby either!

Going to stretch the gap this year?

22:40 would move you into the top 300. :)

Good luck Sandra, that's a decent chunk to take off :-)

Having not seen previous results apart from the top 20 or so places, are there clusters of runners coming in close proximity I.e. Within 2-3mins of each other? Obviously with the low numbers against longer distance the chances are lower but interested how spaced the field is.

Also just since its last week before the race, are there any more miles to be run before Saturday or us it just a case of feet up and save the legs?

I also have a bit of time on my hands today ;-)

I ran a few miles with Bob in last year's race and he has an amazing record of 10 whw finishes all sub 24. He told me & Nic the way he does it is by keeping a steady place for the whole race and no faffing. Another star.
