Paul's late entry has sparked some more debate which will rumble on for a few days.
I love the camera idea G, just don't spend too long on the pictures and videos or you'll turn into John K lol.
In other words don't fanny about too much and keep moving forward!

I'd be delighted if I could fanny about and get John K's sub 20 time!
What debate? I thought most folk were delighted to hear that the 2 time winner and record holder might try and tear up the trail again, get a hat trick of wins and possibly break the record again?!

Do you have a set plan when you want a support runner from G?

Just give camera to your crew Gavin. So excited Paul is back, I knew it might happen last week and was bursting to tell folk once we found out for sure. So exciting

Yeah, it's awesome. Love hearing about the folk *racing* at the front end, while the rest of us are surviving in the mid pack (that's me, not you sants - you are often towards the sharp end of the ladies race).
Sjjh - yeah, I'm hoping to have support runner for all sections from Auchtertyre on (and the quicker Paul goes, the more likely that the 4 hour rule doesn't even come close to applying!). Support #2 from Auchtertyre to Bridge of Orchy, support #1 BoO to Glencoe, support #2 again from Glencoe to Kinlochleven, then support #1 from KLL to Fort William.
I'll just ask them to take the odd pic or vid. G

Gavin, your time will be what it will be, and you should pace yourself early on, but just make sure you don't lose two hours being sat in a chair at a checkpoint or otherwise fannying about pretending to be be Steven Speilberg. 23:xx sounds much better than 25:xx

Lol. Top advice M1nty. That's why I was thinking of asking support crew to take pics and vids. Of me, of each other, for memories. I won't take a pic coming down Conic to Loch Lomond - will just have to keep that one in my memory. G

I know you don't want the pressure of predicting a stretching time, G, but we're all rooting for you and with all your training and prep, and your ability you may find you do rather well If you do find you have something left in the tank later on, don't be afraid to pass folk. Guess KJ Tindall may help with this aspect
In a similar vein, it was perhaps a little frustrating that as soon as the post went up on FB about Paul entering the race someone said "Sub-14". Give the guy a break! If he does sub-16 that is a fantastic time.

It's ridiculous to put that pressure on Paul, people just don't think before posting. He's just back from world champs and has utmb coming up. That's why he hadn't entered but I think he's looked at start list and realises he can still retain his title, make history (3wins in row) and not kill himself in process trying to break records. I hope and pray he does, such a lovely lovely guy
