He's a bit of an odd one. I've never met the chap but he has consistently criticised and provided comments on my training (and diet!) on my blog and on twitter this year which at times I have found very rude. I'm sure he means well, but that level of detail in unsolicited comments/criticism is not what I want to get from someone unless I'm paying them to be my coach.

That's par for the course, any idiot can pass judgement. I think Santa's blog summarised it perfectly.

I ran most of the Loch Katrine marathon with Robert, he is slightly eccentric and gets deeply immersed in being very analytical.

I wouldn't take anything as nasty or critical more trying to be helpful, he is an engineer that loves stats, graphs and data.

Sometimes it's better not to say anything at all but not everyone can do that.

I'm happy to watch other people be arses without saying anything.

Until they repeatedly upset people I know and like.

I notice he hasn't answered your post M1nty. Yes, made me laugh when the winner and second place both replied with somewhat sarcastic "Thanks Robert, you're teaching us how to race!"

Hmmm.

In other news, I've shopped! £100 of sugar and spice and all things nice. Nom, nom! :-) G

That probably equals your total spend on sugary stuff over the last, er 5 years, perhaps?

Last I saw had two lengthy replies to other questions, I'm guessing Ian pulled the trigger due to the previous content folk weren't happy with.

Paul and Robbie were both quite annoyed with it. Paul told me he was biting his tongue and considering deleting himself to stop answering!
