Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

husband bought me a cheap very bright orange hooded smock thing from Sport Direct - it's Karrimor says water resistant but kept me dry in "normal" rain. Haven't subjected it to horizontal stair rods yet ! but for less than £20 it packs up very small and light

ah, can see why you'd want one in longer events. as I'm never likely to be far from getting dry as I do short stuff in an urban area I prefer cold and wet to hot and humid, but can see why others would want one

I agree. For up to about 90 minutes, provided I'm confident I won't have to slow down enough to get cold, I'd rather just get wet.

I have a north face running jacket (had it a few years now) and it keeps me fairly dry unless the rain is really heavy.

OMM jacket / smock is good. They're quite heavy and warm though. Great for winter conditions but hot in summer
