I used to have a Ronhhill one that to be fair was pretty good in a 100k that was wet almost all day. I have now got a Harrier UK jacket and in all honesty it’s brilliant and has been tested in some pretty torrential rain. It’s heavier so it wouldn’t be a first choice mandated jacket if rain was unlikely but def for a run where you know it will rain/is raining. It has ‘pit zips’ that help the be ventilation issue, good sized pockets esp back one you can store snacks /stuff you need to hand and for the days it is jacket on/jacket off it easily can be rolled down and fastened around your waist the back pocket is still accessible. It has a pleat in the back so it fits perfectly over your back pack. I also have the trousers only needed them once but I’d totally wear them again even walking days neither crinkle like most waterproofs do. All a fraction of the price of the big names. 25% off at the moment too! harrierrunfree.co.uk |

I have a Rab Kinetic one. It's bloody brilliant. Does need spraying to reproof once a year or so. I don't wash it often either to maintain the cover. Only failures are if you wear gloves they do still get wet ovs (needs longer sleeves) and no proper pockets. It was crazy expensive, it has lasted well so far at 2 years in. I'll happily buy another when it falls to bits. |
