I'm waiting for the 'Once round Mercury' badge in the real world, currently on Papua New Guinea. These seem to be unrelated to any stat I can find.. Have deleted them all once, then they just came back in flurries.... At one point I had 4 distance/location badges, now just the two.

Hmmmm, maybe it hadn't given them to you in the past and is trying to correct an error now? I had 5 recently, deleted the extras and then my next run it gave them back. I then left them and after the next run I logged they disappeared.

Yeah, there's something a bit funny going on with badges. Usually I can only see the latest badge in a category, i.e. Buenos Aires will replace Once Round the Moon when I get it. However, I currently I can see Kiev, Budapest and Edinburgh.
I like being able to see them, but I don't think I should be able to see them.

If I'd known there was a 2 mile swimming badge I wouldn't have stopped after 3200 metres the other day! 
Also, I currently have Kiev, Istanbul, Budapest *and* Edinburgh. Isn't the idea that only the highest one shows?

It's been like that for ages CharlieP. If you delete them all they'll likely come back - or some of them will. I currently have two.

I think it's literally round Pluto, not 'to' Pluto.
