Think I’ve been shorts all this winter. Barely been anywhere near cold enough.

I wouldn't have wanted to be in shorts today, it was bloody freezing up on the hill. I was just coming up onto the Ingleborough summit plateau when some bell-end in shorts and bare arms appeared, looking indecisive. He asked "which way is Horton" and I pointed in the opposite direction to which he was heading. Given recent events, I have to say I thought this very irresponsible.

I certainly wouldn’t be in skorts on the hills or a long run that’s for sure.

John Kelly sprained his ankle I believe, not sure about any of the others.

The leading 3 are miles ahead of Jasmin's trophy, I measured at roughly 20km. Very early days yet though ;-)

Who is going to need sleep first? Is anyone brave enough to blast through Middleton and try to get to Alston without sleep (unless it's changed you can't stop long enough, nor are there real facilities, to sleep at Dufton)?

Just found Jasmin's split from her 2019 record run - she got to Hawes at 11:53 on the Monday, Kim got there at 7:41 this morning, so 4 hours up in 24 hours !!!

Can't remember the weather from 2019 - maybe this year boggy ground frozen over so faster ??

I thought my page didn't have the trophies until I kept on looking. Curiously, Damian's trophy is also miles ahead of Jasmin's trophy.

Probably confirms ff's previous supposition that it's tied to actual position rather than average speed.

I noted John has said conditions are fantastic.

The ground was wet and muddy early on in 2019. Conditions got colder and it the latter stages were frozen solid. But Jasmin also monstered the race from Middleton. She hardly stopped after Middleton, jumping Eugeni at Alston and the just going hard to the finish. Whether this year's cohort can keep the pace up having gone much harder early on is the big question? My guess at present is somebody may well manage it but a lot of that leas group of yesterday will pay for their exuberance.
