that's my thinking! I kick at the end of an OW swim to try and stop the wobbles getting up and out but other than that they don't do much!

I found that working on my upper body strength and core worked helped with swim speed. Maybe Ankh can do us a masterclass sometime ?

Upper body and core are on my hit list!
Love the idea of an AC master class

I meant more that diving leg kick is from the hips. I don't think my slowness is down to strength. I'm sure it's efficiency. My breaststroke is so much faster. I feel like I must be doing something fundamentally wrong. I am so much slower at fc than *everyone* else in the lake. Every time. I am not less fit or strong than *all* of those people.

baked salmon? Baking salmon probably takes longer than a length of swimming.

I've not found baking salmon to be particularly arduous though. Perhaps she's doing it wrong?

Linds - if you're really not sure what you're doing wrong (with swimming not baking salmon) it might be worth finding somewhere that does video analysis. I did that last year pre-Covid and it picked up several things in my stroke that I was completely oblivious about, it was really helpful.
