Afternoon, no training as such over the weekend, but I did do lifting and moving of paving slabs and much chainsawing, I can definitely feel it today, and sadly had to get up early for an airport trip.

Maybe this week....

Afternoon, multisports scunners.

We have a new name plate by the door, but apart from that the UK's presence in Brussels is relatively continuous despite the whole B-day thing.

Running was done yesterday, and long dog walking (in both senses).

Today is therefore a rest day. Much apartment cleaning will be done, however, as it's a state and I'm loaning it to a friend for Wednesday night.

What happened Gobi?

Hmm... I thought I posted my totals for January.

Swim 6.7 miles - it is an improvement
Bike - 41 miles - must do better
Run - 68 miles - building back after a few niggles.

Swimage with the club tonight

I was brilliant :¬)

Seriously though, unfortunately my charge has had flu. We decided to risk it for a biscuit and hit 5km bang on 18.20 ! HOWEVER, as I announced this she responded with CAN'T BREATHE and that was it we backed off 10 seconds a KM and in effect trotted home in around 37.40.

She knew at 4km but tried to keep going. Gutted for her as form was there, she ran 17.50 over 5km last weekend.

I realise now that I can't keep pacing her though(I say this every year), yesterday told me I could probably run 36.20 and although I ran the first 5km upper Z4 there was no doubt cardiac drift was taking my smoothly to the promise of pain that is Zone 5.

Its just getting too close to me actually almost racing and racing is not pacing. Age sucks and unless I can find 30 - 60 seconds this ship has sailed!

‘trotted to a 37:40’..... :-O

Bad luck anyway.

Pacers were fucking hopeless at Watford Half. I caught the 1:45 pacer after about 5 miles on about 1:32 pace, and watched a 2:00 pacer trot home at 2:04.....

There is a skill but I think some people just see a free race entry and run close to their best.

The girl is a good runner TRO
