Barely trained since the last league meet, but doing SC again on Sunday. No 800m this time though, so hopefully get a bit faster.
Although, as we have noone in the 400h, I have said I'm willing, just for some points.so that will be a pb by default.

I get to tick something off the list! Sub 2.20 800m attempt today. OGM and a slow field so had to take it from the bell after the youngsters started fading. Ended up doing even 67 splits and winning by 12 seconds in 2.14. A wee bit delighted!!!!

Fantastic run there, markgall! I have tentative dreams of a sub-2:20 and I'm going to have another go on August 1, probably. Realistically, though, I should be delighted if I run 2:21 or 2:22 (PB set a month or so ago at 2:23.0).

Thanks everyone. Good luck Roberto. Thatβs some schedule. I have my 3000 SC next weekend. A wee bit scared π J2R my last 800 was 2.23 so the sub 2.20 is realistic. Go for it!

That was tough, and another very hot meet. 2nd in the 400h. Winner apparently around 61/62 (He had blocks and everything), I was on the home straight when he finished so I'm hoping 70ish.
11.31 in the SC which was a 15sec pb. 2nd again. Winner was my mate who beat me by 30 seconds like he did last time.
Club record is 10.53ish, so if I actually do some training, feel its achievable.before the seasons out.
Then 4x400. Wrecked but came 3rd out of 4 instead of last like last time.

Oh well done Roberto. SC Club record is yours with a bit of training, as you say. 400H is soooooo hard - and then the 4x 4! Crikey. *applauds*

Nice work Roberto.
4:27.74 for me today. Was hoping for a fast race and see if I could hang on the back (I had the slowest PB in the race) but the fast guys decided to make the race slow even for me (first lap 74 I believe) and then have a burn up so happy to run a time that is around my old PB off a slow start.
Probably the only thing I could have done differently (other than take the race out myself but that wouldn't make sense with everyone being faster than me) was take a risk and go at a 'too fast' pace in the middle and just see what happens but that's pretty hard when you've already picked up the pace from a slow pace.
Got to practice improving my kick to ensure I didn't finish last, first move at 400 as usual, second move at 150 instead of the normal 200 (passed runner at this point) and instead of trying to increase leg speed further on home straight, I just maintained technique (main focus the arm stroke), could feel the guy on my shoulder but he couldn't come past and he was about a second behind in the end.

Roberto, great days work, excellent chase π SPR definitely sounded a worthwhile workout even though not at the pace you hoped for, great going.
