Indeed, what's up, it doesn't matter, Froome will win instead, won't he?

He's in with a good shout WS, but there are a few riders who might like to prove otherwise. Certainly not nailed on.

If Team Sky can give Froome the same support Wiggo had last year I think Froome will take some beating, otherwise can be a lottery can't it, one bad corner....

Conveniently solves the 'who should be lead rider?' debate.

Froome was the leader and has been the leader for months. The virus just confused Wiggins a little hence the statements about doubles, etc ;-)

I like Froome more than Wiggins, I like attacking riders.

I still can't see a weaker rider winning because of their team.

Who said anything about a weaker rider? As far as Grand Tours go like it or not Contador still takes some beating. He should also have a pretty strong team around him - with someone who was on the inside of Team Sky last year in his team.

I agree, Hammer.

My comment was related to the team element (in regards to Sky and Wiggins last year), I'm still not convinced a team riding hard on the front disadvantages the strongest rider. If anything, that rider gets to save his team.

I still think Wiggins win last year (ignoring Froome), as no one was going to drop him from far out (he'd come back gradually as he was the strongest, just lacking acceleration) and all they'd have gained was a few seconds with short attacks a la JRod.
