Idiots, agreed Dai.

Cookson for UCI president eh? Wonder what international support will be like, I thought most other nations were fed up with GB's recent success, so would they also let a Brit run the joint?

So if what Miller says has some substance, if Froome breaks a collar bone in the Dauphine, would Wiggo suddenly be resurrected??

I personally subscribe to the "he's lost interest a bit" after last year. Missing the altitude training camp, putting on weight, getting the yips on downhills suggest loss of motivation, not conspiracy to push him out. He wasn't doing that bad in the Giro, descending apart, until the day the illness struck, and 3rd or 4th were quite likely finishing positions, especially as Uran would have been called back to help. Evans collapsed on the final time trial, it's hard to imagine Wiggins would have had.

As others pointed out in the comments to the Miller story, Froome signed in 2011 and to insist on sole team leadership, before what happened in the TDF 2012 seems unlikely. I'm sure Sky are perfectly capable of being ruthless and the knee injury is quite likely a "cover story", I think more likely Wiggins had given his word to ride the Giro and let Froome ride as leader for TDF, and then wanted to go back on it after the Giro hopes collapsed, and Sky intervened rather than let a rogue "Bernard Hinault" loose in the team. Miller suggests that Wiggins commands more respect than Froome and they must have been frightened, as someone pointed out on the list, Wiggins could have been in yellow after the Pyrenees, with a team more loyal to him than Froome, Sky have probably headed it off in the pass is my take on it.

sky work on numbers, the number have not been good for wiggo, look at 2010 tour, he rode poorly there as well, numbers must be good for froome and so, sky goes where the numbers are good. strange how you never see froome and wiggo racing together?

and you don't have a year out after your best year, that's where you are maximising your income through appearances and PR hype and advertising. however, I have a sense wiggo ain't into that, and as his wife Cath said in a docu, there's 2 bradleys; the loving family guy and the C**t when training had. I think he wants to be more of the first. as Miller says bit fragile.

shame really.

If something happened to Froome, they might give Porte a go. Or see if one of their Colombians still has some legs after the Giro.

Yes, Rio. I am now only 8 years behind the times :)

I have no idea how much of this is speculation, how much we are all reading into snippets of conversation and interview, and hhow much Robert Millar actually knows (hasn't he been a bit of a recluse for the past 20 years? How does he get his insider knowledge if he never goes out in public?).
I can see the lack of motivation story though, I read Wiggins autobiography (very dull), in which he repeatedly talks about the strain that this level of training puts on his life and family. Of course, he repeatedly talks about everything, the whole book could be condensed to ten sides with no loss of content.
