Well well, after today's Dauphine stage, perhaps the song should be: "Bye, bye bertie, bertie bye, bye". You can't piss away 2 minutes 44 to a main GC contender in 32.5km of racing. Well done to Froome, as he sends the pretenders Contador, J-Rod and Valverde all packing. Bertie is gonna need plenty of beefsteak in the next 4 weeks if he is going to convince me of his real aspirations for the GC. Think you can see why Sky don't want to mess with "the plan", because at the moment the plan's a good 'un. |

And of course, Cav is doing his bit even more for Sky this year. On the flat stages, Sky can have a day off and let OPQS do the job for them. Last year, they had to consider doing both.
