We went to Alpe d'Huez for the Dauphine a couple of years ago and it was great, far fewer people than for the Tour so you can get a really good spot wherever you like and don't need to bag a spot hours early

Yes it does - first stage is a 121km loop in of Champery. Going to be interesting to see how Froomey does...

Just been reported on Eurosport that Wiggo has an inflamation of the left knee and the Tour could be in doubt

I'm team Cav for sure but obviously he is not in contention for the yellow jersey. I'd love to get behind Wiggo if fit because not really hot on Froome either. Do you guys tend to support teams or individuals though? I have always been a team man regards F1, does this not work the same way. I am going to have to choose someone to pin my hopes on whatever...

I'm not really a Team Sky fan, or particularly a Wiggo or Froome fan, I just like to see British riders do well.
I've also got other riders I like to see do well who aren't British.
Cycling is a bit weird with regards to supporting teams/riders, Belgians will like Quickstep or Lotto, the Dutch always used to be head to toe in orange and support Rabobank as a result - not sure where they are with Blanco - but guessing they'll still be head to toe in Orange! I think most Italians and Spanish fans tend to have favoured riders as opposed to teams.

I think the French tend to support riders as opposed to teams too. Last time I went to the Tour I thought there were a huge number of Bouyges Telecom and Caisse d'Epargne fans in France, until I realised that the teams were giving away free t-shirts!
