Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Hello clubbers. Also hope all going well.

HB: Sounds like happy filth.

Work: Is fine. My place is looking for redundancy volunteers actually, but my area and role are very low risk so not actually a worry for me. In fact it's almost the opposite - they've a calculator that tells you approx how much payout you'd get and I'd very much like that ;-)

Running: Very good. As Sigh already knows from the badges thread, I'm about to go out for a 0.02 mile run to get the 200 mile/month badge!

Wow roberton! I'm happy hitting 100 miles for the month...it's been nearly 3 years since I last pulled that off, so very happy camper.

Garfield: thanks! I'm pretty happy myself with that, previous highest was 148 so it was quite a jump for me.

It was motivated partly by doing the virtual Tennessee race that's going on, but the exact total was motivated by getting a badge :-) And there's a lesson here (at least for me): I'd have never done it otherwise but actually it wasn't as hard as I thought, so it does show that sometimes you find you can do more than you thought.

Still... I'm not sad about doing a bit less next month! I might mix it up a bit more rather than just clocking up miles...

Since it is the last day of the month, seems a good time to ask all the clubbers:
have you any goals for July?

Could be running goals obviously, but feel free to mix it up with other things :-)

:) 100 miles again next month or 4 miles a day every day (it's manageable for me) and some more yoga, besides what I teach during the week!

Nice work, roberton, I got the same badge today! But made sure I was a hair over instead of under 🙂

My goal is the same as Garfield... 💯 miles running. Also, maybe, improving my deadlifts in my Monday weight training sessions.

Evening all! (Anyone else old enough to remember Dixon of Dock Green? It's faint, but definitely there!)

Been a good running month for lots of us. :-)

Spoiled today for me by toothache which rather takes the joy out of it. Let's find out what the antibiotics do to my times over the next week - maybe fast runs to the nearest toilets!

But early to bed for me - I didn't get enough sleep last night.
