Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Well done for Tuesdays long hill reps Lesley, and yesterday's social run. Also for the workout on the rowing machine and core work.

Well done Steve for this mornings 3.51 miles, reaching the break even line.

I did the usual Friday Farmers Walk this morning in the dry. It had been forecast rain, so it will probably arrive soon.

10k this morning was hard going though enjoyable , if that makes sense! The walk bits are the best because running still takes it out of me . Frustrating that it may always be like this now and i still haven't had the letter from my consultant. It would be good to know if there's a clear reason for my inability to sustain running.

On a nicer note it's the Great Welsh Marathon tomorrow so best wishes to Looby Loo for a great trot! Hope it goes perfectly LL.
Well done as usual for continuing the Farmer's Walk hs. Did it remain dry?!

Well done Steve for this mornings 10k, the miles are adding up. It must be very frustrating waiting so long for your Consultant's letter.

It did remain dry yesterday and the sun 🌞 came out.

Best of luck for the Great Welsh Marathon tomorrow LL. We will be looking forward to your race report 😀

We didn't do a parkrun this morning which was a shame, as the weather was ideal. There were various reasons, mainly because of other early morning commitments. We did a local road 5k instead which was actually 3.22 miles.

Good luck LL!

Well done Steve and HS.

I was out this morning (a little frosty and icy too) I went up the local hill and did Parkrun. I looked at the time before when I was about 3.5 miles away from Parkrun start and had to do a few quick miles to get there in time - oops. Got there and did my slowest yet but I did stop to help an injured runner.

Then after I got home and changed a 1 mile walk to the allotment for an afternoon of digging. Was a lovely afternoon in the sun.

Local 5k race hs? A change for you to be on the roads.
A lot of physical activity Lesley. Digging can be hard work and good strength training. How nice to have a sunshiny afternoon too .
Today is normally a non run/walk day but I have the dentist early tomorrow morning when I usually do my miles so I did 3.3 miles today instead. I suppose I could do my miles anytime but I much prefer the quiet of mornings. It was another wet morning, I can't remember having to change my wet shoes so often as these last few months.

Well done Lesley for your long run incorporating a parkrun. I don't know how you had the energy for a 1 mile walk and afternoon digging. That sounds like cross training with a vengeance!

It wasn't a 5k road race Steve, but a run on the virtual course that we ran on during the Covid parkrun shut downs. We don't like road running, but the forest is almost impossible to do a decent run. It's really flooded in places, and squelchy mud in others. We hope to forest run tomorrow, but will see what the weather is like before deciding.

Well done for this mornings 3.3 miles.

I ran a hilly road 10k this morning with a running friend. The rain had stopped, but the pavements were wet and lots of puddles.

Quick report. Great Welsh Marathon. 5:03:13
First marathon for 12 years. Beat my WAVA which was my B goal. My A goal was sub 5 and I ran with the pacer until about 17,18 but couldn’t quite hold on. Stunning run scenic mostly good surfaces but windy and muddy trail in places.
The sub 5 man waited for me at the end.

Well done Looby Loo hard luck for not achieving sub 5 but those conditions obviously weren't the best. That was nice of the pacer to wait for you.
