Kim I went out at 8.00am instead of our usual virtual 9.30am with the girls so that I could get 9 miles done and be back for a relaxing day in the garden painting my fence and getting some Vitamin C. The bloody sun and heat was while I was running and as soon as I finished the Cloud and breeze came in.

Off to do Asda today in the faint hope the sun will shine tomorrow

Thanks for the bunting, folks! And to Mrs Jigs for hopping off the league so fast to let me be at the top 🙂

Sorry about the leg, Dio, hope it heals fast.

I've already forgotten what all the bunting was for, but congratulations to those earning it!
Just had a lovely socially distanced catch up in the back garden with Sophie :)

Hot again today - we decided to redo yesterday's river/stream/shingle bed ramble. Only a bit further upstream. Based on - it's flat, most is under tree cover, some bits require walking/bog balancing, and, other than the car park, empty of people. So not too bad in the heat.

Always surprising when the NF is bone dry, there's still patches of bogs that will suck you in, given half the chance.

And bridges

And dragon flies - lots of bright blue ones, green ones, and this stationary one.

And 2 surprise deer - bot looked a bit miffed to be disturbed and reluctant to move too far.
The first, a young stag, the second (2 pics), I suspect quite a youngish one

5 miles done, mostly like the Springwatch 'mindfulness' sections - nothing to hear except bird song. But unlike Springwatch, more bird song than birds spotted.

Ran 13 and a bit miles today to mark what should have been Uganda marathon day. Like most events it was cancelled for this year which hits the fund raising hard. I ran the full marathon a couple of years ago after a weeks volunteering over there.

It was pretty hot here today but not quite as warm as Uganda was - pretty close though!

*waves* Phew wot a scorcher etc :-)

I did fake parkrun early (for me - before 8 am anyway) and was thrilled to do a mile which began with a 9 for the first time for yonks - but then the third mile was really hard work and I stopped to walk far too often *rolls eyes*

Just planted out some more plants (the milkman has finally delivered all the plants I ordered at the start of lockdown) and I am dissolving into a pool of sweat :-0
