Who would have thought a 57 year old with dodgy knees (one was operated on) could give RunRuss, the most famous WSW player, a run for his money in the Multi Final?? It’s only Day 2 and very few squares are left! It’s highly tactical too. I’ve been biking 10s of miles, 13km walks and runs, and I’m knackered already…but just nudging ahead on Day 2.
Sorry Foxy I’m ignoring the 1 to 1 due to the Multi Final. Good luck.

This'll be at least 49 consecutive days of effort. I'm looking forward to a lil break next week

With RunRuss aiming at the multi final, I don't think I've much of a hope in the 1v1. I think I'll have to see if I can align my targets with FatRayToSlim ;)

I think FatRayToSlim wants it more than I do.

Targeting specific points….and don’t say you don’t do this RunRuss, because I saw all those 0.1 mile runs and walks before you hid your training! Not sure what you've got to hide?

I predict you will win.

Good Luck FatboytoSlim :)

I'm taking a week off to explore Bedfordshire on my bike & working all weekend. Will try my best to avoid the zone for you :)

> Targeting specific points….and don’t say you don’t do this

Yeah, but you're doing it more ruthlessly than I can muster the motivation to do. It's a faff isn't it?

You're a good chunk ahead in terms of raw squarage points - docs.google.com

so unless I can use my points more wisely, I'm doomed. Also, rumours I'm pivoting to try to not lose to unsliced are well founded.

> could give RunRuss, the most famous WSW player,

I think you'll find that SwimslowRunslow is the most famous WSW player. First to reach 1500, and only retired due to equipment challenges, else she'd still be top of the table. Doesn't seem to engage on this thread, but was very friendly in fmail chats when we got matched up.

I am putting in the mileage in the Multi Match Final….it’s not just targeted wee runs and walks. So far my step count this week:
Mon 40,592
Tue 28,127
Weds (so far) 36,103

And don’t my knees know it!

It's an interesting game for tactics.
Still learning, and watching Fairfield taught me a few tricks.
My own preference if I have an out & back to hit a square (One of mine is on a golf course with no public access), is I run in, walk out & double-bag it.
