Yes, it's a ridiculous boycott. I have to say Yorkshire Tea's response on Twitter is a model of how this kind of thing should be handled, culminating in today's response to someone who kept on ranting away - "Sue, you're shouting at tea". Kudos to them.

I also fully approved of their statement that behind the brand, there are real people - and exhorting people to be kind, accordingly.

It's odd that some people completely transform into monsters when they get behind the keyboard (or behind the wheel). Is it an inner monster that comes to life when it thinks it is safe and anonymous or are these people just generally ignorant and unpleasant?
This is the definitive storm in a teacup.

The sort of tribal lunacy the left in particular but all sectarian zealots are prone to. If they aren’t tweeting their outrage they don’t feel alive.

I must admit I really don't know what certain members from my side of the fence are up to here. I despair. And then Owen Jones, (him of the attack dogs on the left, that he sics on various people who annoy him) telling them off for orchestrating a Twitter pile on!!!
The sooner Keir Starmer gets in the better, and hopefully half of them just resign. (although Nandy is apparently the sellout Blairite - not sure how that happened)
Christ the amount of people I've seen supporting Burgon for deputy just for being left wing, even though they know he's a muppet! What did Rayner do wrong? Wasn't she originally part of the RLB / Rayner dream Corbynite ticket? Then Rayner woke up and realised she had enough support across the spectrum she no longer needed to grovel the Corbynistas... and now suffers their wrath. Jesus wept.

I do know a couple of people who seem to roam social media looking for opportunities to get outraged on behalf of all and sundry. They tend to go nuclear at the drop of a hat. It must be very wearing being so angry all of the time. Other than insulting complete strangers I am not sure what it all actually achieves.

And I should add that yes I am angry about the rights I'm losing and the harm to my business and future that is being willfully caused to no purpose. Of course I am. I'm not going out of my way to find things to be offended about, they are being dumped on me by xenophobic spiteful pensioners.
