that awning is the size (and shape and colour!) of the tent we used as a family of 5 for fortnight camping trips! I assume it's for bike wrangling or do you hold raves in it?

So can't quite decide what to do... as much as we love our van, now that we've used it a few times we've decided it's not quite what we want. Choices now are to sell and buy new, part ex or to spend time and money making it better. When we bought, we didn't know what we would want really.
I'd like something newer. Every rattle really bugs me. I'm constantly worried when driving it that something is broken. But I don't think it is.
It is a bit bigger and heavier than we would like. Would prefer to drive something that feels more like a car. Especially when I'm popping to the shops in town. We'd prefer a low top with pop up roof.
We need a bike rack. Can only find one compatible rack for this van and it's a pain to build from what I've seen online.
We want a diesel heater installed.
We want an awning rail installed.
I'm already missing air-conditioning in the front.
Most of those we can throw money at to fix, but if we do then we'd definitely need to be keeping the van.

If it’s not right, and you can afford to, I’d look into changing it. Now you know what you are wanting, you’ll have a better idea of the layout that will suit and your non- negotiables.
We went to look at an Elddis VC20 yesterday - we are pondering on downsizing. Only because 2 of the 3 times we have been able to go away in the last 13 months, something pretty significant has gone wrong and it’s in the garage more often than not. It has made us question whether we want to keep persevering with this one (spacious, comfy, ideal layout but it’s 8.1m long so we are restricted with where we can go) or we change to a converted so we have more freedom of movement, but sacrifice internal space. If the Moho wasn’t in the garage atm, we wouldn’t have been considering a swap. It’s giving us a headache!

I guess we're in a better position now... we have a van, so can take our time finding the right deal.
