Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Our kids are off from 24 Jun, but we're heading to England to see Grandma for the first time in nearly 2 years. Managed to book campsites but struggled to get in at weekends (and it's not even close to English holidays).

We're supposed to be going to the West Coast in early August but a perfect storm of English school holidays and a massive orienteering competition means everywhere is booked solid. As I said, it's probably for the best. I'd have been a bit sad to have booked it months ago and found it full to the brim when we got there.

Booking now for October!!

We have booked a couple of places all before school holidays. Wont go anywhere but local beach in school holidays and then go away again when kids go back 🙃

Same here, Mandy. We are going to Cornwall for 2-3 weeks late June/early July but will be home by the time schools break up. Then we are going to Dumfries & Galloway at the end of August for 10 days, after Scottish schools have opened again.

Sounds like a couple of nice trips GM. My in laws live in Dumfries and Galloway and I think it's a good less well known area of Scotland. We have visited some nice wildlife areas and done foraging trips there pre-campervan.

D&G is our go to place. Have been going here: drumroamin.co.uk for at least 10yrs tenting, static caravan and now campervan.

Just happens to be about 4 miles from the reopened Bladnoch Distillery which is the tipple of choice.
