Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just found this thread. Can't believe I didn't know it was here. I used powdered wormer and they seem to eat that okay, although it's always more palatable if I mix it in Tuna :)

New cat in the house alert. This is Harry, he came from a cat rescue, he is of indeterminate age (somewhere between 3 and 5), and he's lovely. Likes play and sleeping and food and going out and ignoring you when you call him back in. The dog is getting used to him slowly. Very slowly.

Lennox refuses to use the back door on going in and out... She uses the kitchen window. I honestly thought she'd killed herself yesterday... the wind had blown the window almost shut... She jumped up and hit it so hard she just lay on the floor. She seems fine now. I wouldn't mind but the open back door was 2ft away!

Any advice on getting them to use a cat flap?

We've got one mostly trained to come in, but won't go out.

The other just sits there mewing and pawing at it ineffectually in both directions.

We've tried shoving. Treats.

They know it's a portal, but they seem convinced it blocked to them (for some unknown reason)

Harry is gorgeous, hope he'll be happy in his new home :-)

No advice on the cat flap, sorry! Hester got the hang of going out within a couple of days and learnt how to come back in in a week.
