Roberto

Everything went fine, feeling very sorry for himself. He won't even stand up with the cone on. But as soon as its off he is licking.

Vets didn't have any bodysocks and my partner didn't get one from petsathome because they said they would have them at the vets, so a bit stuck until tomorrow now.

The other suggestion we were given was... boxers. if there is someone in the household of the right size that is willing to give some up for the cause. The person of the right size refused here so we never got to try it out!

Just popping back in (long time no see) to note that it was 10 years ago that we brought Jet home as a tiny puppy.

This is me trying to teach recall to the 'duracell puppy' - the image still makes me laugh.

This is one of my favourites as he was in his favourite element.

And this was him last year - grey, less bouncy, but just as affectionate

Not to forget rescue dogs Wanda and Cookie who arrived roughly the same time but exact ages not known.

I find myself slightly shocked that so much time has passed, almost without me noticing!

Pothunter
We loved the puppies we met via FaceTime and have put down a deposit!

We are 7th in line (out of 8) but to be honest they were all so cute it doesn’t matter which one we end up with :-)

Almost certainly will be a girl (only 3 boys in the litter) so we are now trying to agree on a name!

Great pictures of Jet :)
Exciting times Pothunter.

Ollie (springer) is 12 going on 13 and has bad arthritis in his elbows. For the last few years he's been having Cartrophen injections every two or three months, but the vet practice is no longer using Cartrophen and when we went a couple of weeks ago he had a Librela injection. This is a new drug and more expensive (£104 per month rather than £50-60 every two or three months). However, I do think he is moving more freely, and my potentially wish-fulfilled observation is backed up by the fact the when we picked him up from the groomers this week she commented - without any prior info or prompting - that he seemed more mobile. Has anyone else had any experience of Librela?

Lovely pictures of Jet. We believe that Wanda will be ten at the end of this year. We think her birthday may be October, although that's assuming that her previous owners were told the truth about how old she was when she left her mother and I think that is probably extremely unlikely.

No experience of those meds TR but good (if not for your wallet!) that the new one sounds like it's an improvement on the old.
