Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Best for a while, the hot humid weather seemed to make a mess of my loaves recently, tasted fine, just far too quickly rising and sinking.

Still. Milk Loaf. Hollywood.

Thanks.

It tastes good as well, it's always the same with baking, you need the time to measure it all out and get it right! I had a bit of time yesterday.

Your bread always looks good OS.

Pear and Amaretto cake in the oven as I had some windfall pears to use. Hoping someone in the village has some excess plums but haven't seen any as yet.

My plums finished weeks ago - it’s very variety dependent. Damsons are about perfect right now

I haven't made sourdough for months. I froze my starter when I went on holiday at the beginning of July; took it out a couple of weeks ago but haven't done anything. I think I'll feed it tonight and see how it looks tomorrow.
