The recommendation from the authorities appears to be to put some structure and routine into your day. Making a cake every 48 hours seems well ‘on message’ to me especially if it doesn’t involve going out to buy ingredients

I've actually not baked that much lately, mainly as I have no workplace to bring baking to be eaten, and the gym is closed (I'd often bake for events day on a Saturday). OH got a cake kit for Xmas and finally baked it today though.

I’ve done bread, scones and cinnamon rolls in the last 10 days, but I’m a mere dabbler compared to the mighty Tup. 😀

I do use oats in my crumble but I was wanting to bake a cake and use the rhubarb. I did a ginger and rhubarb loaf with the last lot but I'm fancying polenta cake (albeit lemon) and have fine cornmeal and ground almonds. I guess I'll just give one of the recipes I've found online a go.

Empire biscuits, Victoria sponge, coffee and walnut cake with cream cheese frosting and an iced banana and choc chip bundt cake all baked and eaten in the last fortnight. Benefit of working from home you can get it in the oven at lunchtime, couple of short breaks and it's all ready to eat for a late afternoon coffee break. Am going to have to look for healthier recipes that will keep a little longer though.

Just enjoying rhubarb and vanilla cake for pudding here. The recipe is from gardeners world and has been a hit, much better than rhubarb crumble one person proclaimed.
