Just catching up. I would reply "Please do refer us to Children's Services. I can only hope they will be more helpful and supportive with our well-documented, long-term difficulties than you are."

I probably wouldn't finish with "Kindly fuck off into oblivion, LindsD" but by God I'd be tempted.

Sigh
Hi all. Sian will be 13 in 4 months' time, so I've been lurking in readiness :-)

Currently in Year 7, which around here is the third year of middle school - she'll change schools again in Year 9. Their attitude to homework is to send out two weeks' worth at a time, which is then uploaded via teams. Very laid back. The latest lot said this:

"Good afternoon,
Please find attached the work for June 1st- 12th, obviously this is an overview to support all the documents etc which are on Teams.
Also find enclosed an Action for Happiness calendar for June which contains some lovely ideas.
I hope that everything is going well with you all and I ask for a little patience with staff in terms of responding as we are now all in school every other week supporting all the Year 6 pupils who have chosen to return.
Take Care"

Hi Sigh, I like that Acton for Happiness calendar, I put the March one in a library display in the high school I work in. Welcome to the thread 😀

Hi Sigh :)

I also have a Sian, although technically oughtn't to be here as she's 21 in less than two weeks! #howdidthathappen

I think teenage is a state of mind, not an age
