My new favourite hat, from odd scraps of Laughing Yaffle sock yarn. Brighter and sparklier (for I am five years old and love a bit of Stellina) in real life.

Thanks :) I should add that it's not mine because it's a 160-stitch hat and I'd have to wear another hat or two under it to get it to fit. But it turned out quite pretty.

I've now rounded up all my part balls of sock/fingering yarn and am trying to find at least one of the eleventy billion 2.5mm short circulars I know I own. They're probably all in bags containing one and a half socks.

Always in awe of everyone's knitting!

Maybe I should have a go; I did some as a child (my mum was always knitting) but preferred crochet.

Any suggestions of good YouTube channels or whatever to get me started again?

Whereas I'd like to crochet, but I've found learning as an adult to be similar to being a lifelong skier trying to get to grips with snowboarding.

This one fits me but isn't quite my colour. (Main colour Easyknits Twinkle, retrieved from a tiny baby garment I started knitting for a baby who is now about four years old.)
