Quick update on my waistcoat making exploits. I have managed to make it despite making some really silly mistakes - like sewing the welt pocket parts to the wrong side, and despite checking several times before cutting only actually realising after i’d done so 🙄 really hoping it fits, but i sized it from a current waistcoat of his and my finished effort is nigh on identical when laid out so there’s no real reason it shouldn’t 🤞 I’ll post some pics after i’ve given it to him as having got this far i want to keep it a surprise (he’s also a Fetchie 😉)

I finished knitting my first hat.

It took longer than I expected because sone days my hands were shaking too much to knit and then on good days I could only manage a max of 2 rows before I started making mistakes.

This one is going to be a 50th birthday gift to a friend who does open water swimming all year round.

I think I need to make one for myself next.
