I'm part way through, I'll upload a photo of my work so far when I've done a little more later. :)

I made a hot water bottle cover and gave it to my Mother in Law as a birthday present, she's had the present now so I can put pics up. Apologies to all who are FB or IG followers of mine, you'll have seen the photos before!

I bet that mermaid is growing fast! What yarn are you using?

Stylecraft special Aran weight. It's acrylic but feels OK, the dark blue is a little squeaky but I've not noticed it after the foundation row. I'm not doing it as wide as the pattern, the kids are the intended recipients and they'd be swamped in a blanket that wide.

I'm using the Special DK for Teen 1's blanket. There's a massive choice of colours and it's not too bad to knit with now I'm used to it. I've made great progress, I have done 20 squares out of 49, but have some of the more complicated ones left and lots of sewing up.

The moorland is special dk, I hadn't noticed any squeakiness with the dk hence me going for the aran weight. Most colours are lovely, but the darker ones are a little less soft. I'm looking at a cal coming up that's crochet squares, yarn is scheepes for that.

I bought a style craft DK pack for a CAL but it was too hard for me to do and keep up.

Need to think of another pattern.

Maybe ripple or corner to corner
