Well today I finally had a crack at that crochet thing and managed to produce this:

I'm quite chuffed with it despite doing too many chain stitches on two of the corners. (I might pull some back and redo if the mood takes me later in the week)

That's cool Susie. Despite crocheting for 5+ years, I've yet to make a granny square.

That's great Susie. I'm off to another crochet workshop on Sunday so I'm hoping to work on my next to no knowledge of crochet ;-)

Submitted too soon, I've just ordered some Aran weight yarn to attempt to make a mermaid tail blanket.

Will you crochet it or knit the blanket M4P?

Crochet for sure. I'm. Much better at crochet and for me it's quicker, unless that's psychological :) maybe I should test the theory.

Crochet is so much quicker! Especially for items that are large and need to grow quickly. A few years ago my girls would have loved mermaid blankets

TBH I always prefer the appearance of crochet mermaids tails compared with the knitted ones, don't know why really!
