We had to cancel Fountains as compacted snow on paths would have been too dangerous for 400+ runners. A few of us went for a trot around the open access bit of Fountains Abbey - it was a stunningly beautiful run in the sun & snow.

Fountains Abbey is absolutely gorgeous with or without snow. All the parkruns around South Manchester were cancelled except Woodbank Park in Stockport which has never cancelled (they run in ever decreasing circles round the grass!) and Cheadle Hulme, which is all on grass anyway.

I think so, TR: surprising considering the number of cancellations.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Plean went ahead. Only a small area of mud, a lot of frozen rutted mud. Reasonable time given that I had a fall (tripped while trying to make sure the dog did not go the other side of a tree from me) and a dog altercation (passing pooch wanted to play, my dog wanted to run). Did get chicked, but she is a world class orienteer!

Touristed to Orpington after early Tunbridge Wells cancellation.
Thanks to some hardy volunteers, it was quite exposed in places.
Homemade cakes available too....
